My Rambles:
I liked this book but not as much as A Perfect Chemistry. Carlos was a bit more annoying to me. There was just something I didn't catch with Kiara. I didn't dislike her, I just couldn't fully get into her character. The family was sweet but just a bit too, forced. I think it was like that for me throughout the book.
I may go on to the other book but scanning over a review from someone I have on my Goodreads list, she didn't like the third book. She has been there since, heck, I don't know how long, but a long, long time (since at least 2012). I know she was the reason I read Incarnate by Jodi Meadows back in 2012. I loved the book, didn't go on because I wasn't feeling the second book at the time. We don't always enjoy the same books, but I trust her views enough to know to at least give them a try and to go to her books to get out my comfort zone. I need to get back to going to her read list and picking books. I haven't done that much since finding booktube. Even though we may not always agree on books, there is just something about her that I still trust her enough to read books she likes even if I think I might now..I guess it's one of those things; I might be proved wrong. Plus, I know she will give her honest feelings about it.
ahem..sorry...rambling again...
I am typing this up as I read it so, by the time I am done, my mind may change. I am also listening to the audio book and not really feeling the narrators much. They aren't horrible, I'm just not, well, feeling their narration as I said before. That's not to say: You, the person reading this, won't like them it's all about personal preference. Sometimes, things just don't click with some people as it would with others.
So, by the end, I ditched the audio book mostly because I wasn't fond of the narrators, especially the male. The book itself, even though I got bored a lot, was still a pretty good book. Right now, it is a pretty solid 3/5 but there could be a chance of it changing (up or down) as time goes on.
