Audio/Narrator
I really did enjoy this narrator (British. He read from the Philosopher Stone, so naturally, some words were a bit different than the Sorcerer's Stone). He read it perfectly in my opinion. Voice changes when it needed it (characters, descriptions, action scenes, etc). I really do hope he is the reader of the other books as well. He made it enjoyable to listen to.

Book:

So, I gave the book a 4.5/5 and the audio a 5/5? Well, in rating the book, although I did really enjoy it, I can't say it was a a 5 star read for me but it definitely wasn't a 4 either. I'm not quite sure why I didn't feel it was quite a 5 star read for me though. When I went to rate it, neither 4 nor 5 just fit.

The story was a really cute and easy read/listen. There were a couple of spots that just had me laughing and saying out loud: WTHeck? What was that all about? Because some things would just come out of no where it seemed. lol..It wasn't until later that I thought about writing down some of my thoughts as I was listening to the story, and didn't remember exactly where the things were that had me chuckling. One part I can say and remember, that had me chuckling and cheering was when Ron and Neville were in the stands watching Harry and one of the bullies had finally pushed things a bit too far. For those who have read the book, should know what I mean, those who haven't, I won't say exactly because I don't want to totally spoil it for you. :)

Now that I have finally made it through the first book of the series, maybe now, I can sit through the movies. I have tried, more than once, to read the books and watch the movies but never was able to get through either but I was determined to get through this book! Thankfully, I did find the audio and that helped me out a lot! I typically don't have much of an interest in books with magic in it, as they tend to bore me a bit. No, I am not going to sit here and say that I will give more a try, I may not..but I can say that this is making me want to continue in the series and hope they just get better as they go along. Heck, they better, because I know many get bigger as the series progresses.

Now, yes, I do have my favorites in this series so far. Maybe they will change as the series carries on, but right now, I do only have 3 favorites (outside of Harry of course).

Favorites:

Dumbledorefor his kindness and intelligence
Hagridhow sweet he is and his big heart!
Ron: I love his sarcasm, he is a funny little worrier who will defend himself with that sarcasm and even fight if he needs to. :-)

And may I say, that I just love the word: Hufflepuff! I got a kick out of it every time I heard it. I just kept thinking that it was some kind of cute puffy little bird that would make you just want to squeeze it! lol

I am looking forward to Chamber of Secrets. I hope I enjoy it as much, if not more than Sorcerer's Stone
